Thank You For 100 Followers! What’s Next?
Thank you so much!
It was only a little while ago that I started trying my hand at blogging — choosing Medium as my platform.
I wanted somewhere to put my tiny house articles about helpful tips and valuable practices I’ve found along the way that help with the journey of going tiny, which my fiance and I are currently in the middle of doing.
But I’d always been an avid writer and reader. And it wasn’t long before I wanted to add to the list of topics I published, and not long after that that I started thinking about putting more of my time into blogging in general — wanting to see just how far I could take it.
So I started looking into the earning potential on Medium, which eventually brought me to the need for 100 followers in order to get into the coveted partner program.
What is Follow For Follow?
Yes! I participated in the follow-for-follow method.
This method involves visiting fellow new writers in their own introduction posts, engaging with them, and following others that you see in the comments as well.
This promotes engagement, gives you exposure to writers you may be interested in here on Medium (and vice versa), and provides an environment where new writers can grow their followings together.
It inspired me to create the publication “Introduce Your Blog”, where I want to start giving new (and old) writers a place to introduce themselves to Medium.
I’ve got some fun challenges planned so if you’re interested in growing your readership, check out the submission guidelines and how to join, here!
Write For A Publication About Growing Your Readership.
Hello, and welcome to the Introduce Your Blog publication!
So no, I don’t personally see the follow-for-follow method as a problem. I do, however, see it as a starting point.
In my opinion, what you do with your partnership after the 100 followers is what’s important.
That being said, thank you to everyone who followed me! I hope you stick around and see what’s to come.
So, What’s Next?
Because that’s what I’m looking forward to. I want to continue to share my findings in the tiny house community, I want to share about writing and art, and sustainable living.
Honestly, I don’t plan on sticking to one niche like when I started. Some might argue that I’m shooting myself in the foot, but I want to have fun with my blogging and not be torn between multiple profiles just because I want to write about multiple things.
It’s one of the reasons I named this blog “Just Jaz”.
Because I just want to express myself here, in whatever capacity that ends up being. I can only hope my readers can appreciate all of my interests, or at least find comfort in the ones we share.
So, thank you again so much for helping me reach this milestone.
And feel free to use this post as another thread for follow-for-follow! I fully encourage helping each other out.
